Thank you for joining the 5miles family! The following is a brief walkthrough of the signup process.
After you’ve downloaded the app, there are a couple of ways to sign up for 5miles.
1. The easiest way is to use the one-click Login with Facebook or Google button. This uses your public Facebook profile information or your Google account information, to create your 5miles account.
2. Alternatively, you can also click the gray ‘Sign Up’ button (below the Facebook option). Here, you can enter your name, a valid email address, and a password to create an account!

The next step is adding a photo. Now, we encourage you to use a real picture of yourself, as this creates a trusting atmosphere between you and potential buyers/sellers, though this is not required.
To add a photo, simply tap ‘Select From Album’ to grab a photo from your phone’s library or tap ‘Take a Photo’ to take a new picture in that moment. (Be sure to allow 5miles access to your camera.)

On the next screen, you’ll be asked to ‘Search Contacts’ which will go into your phone’s contacts to see if you have any friends already registered on the app. If you do, you can choose to ‘Follow’ one of your friends. (Be sure to allow 5miles access to your contacts if you would like to take advantage of this feature.)
In the future, you can also follow other 5milers who lists items you like and/or have done transactions within the past. If you do not want to ‘follow’ anyone, you can tap ‘skip’ toward the bottom of the screen.
Now you’re in!
