BOOST Replaced with "FEATURE"
The Boost icon where I use to boost every 4 hours is no longer there. It was replaced by an icon that says "Feature" and with Feature you have to pay. Is anyone else having this problem? There is another section that I can go to try to boost but a gray window pops up saying I could boost four times per item but it never pops up in the news feed or anything and it doesn't look like it's working. Thanks if anyone has any answers.

Hi 5miles users,
This is Shirley from 5miles customer support team.
Pertaining to your previous concern about no free “boost” issue, we feel glad to tell you that “free” boost function is back now, when 4 free boost chances is used off, you just need 9 coins to get one free boost.
You may ask how to earn coins? Actually, you cannot imagine how easily it is to earn coins:
- Seven consecutive check-in could help you get over 300 coins=33 free boost
- Following “Lustro Hair” Instagram could help you get 100 coins=11 free boost
- Referring a new user could help you get 1000 coins=111 free boost
- Besides, 5miles also provide other easy tasks to help you get more coins=thousands of free boost chances.
For more details on how to earn coins, please refer to How to Earn Coins?
Please do not hesitate to boost your items to get more exposure and offers.
We hope the changes help get your items sold faster, welcome to get back to me about your new feedback.
Best Regards,

Paying for Feature Item Promotion does not make any sense for individual items priced $5-$10. I tried the sales tools briefly in past for higher priced items without any added benefits. I'm only a long time Local only 5mile seller and buyer. I'm very frustrated over this abrupt change without any notifications ahead that I've seen. I had msgd the support center thinking I had a glitch and not seeing any site notifications under a help search when change took effect. It took them a couple of messages and days to tell me there was no more boosts and then I felt they could not directly answer (Yes or No) the questions I did have after realizing there was no more boost. Oh well. 🤨 I'm not one to use profanity threats or name calling that I've read in some of the community post (not this one) In my attempts to figure out why the Boost every 4 hours was no longer available. I just very disappointed especially how all this was handled by 5mile. Finally I'm not a fan of the new 5mile dash especially that you can not report items that are on 5mile own prohibited list (like fraudulant items). When my own items clearly not on their list were incorrectly being unlisted. I'm very surprised that 5mile Dash has lasted this long.

Nancy,
I agree with you about the "Feature" Promotion - it doesn't make any sense - I have been with 5 miles for a while as well - liked the way it was before - Do Not Like the "Dash" either i think it is just a Scam - tried to get an item and on the last second it went away or it was "bought" by some one else. I do Hope the 5 miles brings back the Boost Feature EVERY 4 HRS -

Not even fair Most of Us are trying to move a few items and we are helping others by selling good items at a good price ! I am not trying to make a lot of money just sell Things I am not needing ! after reading comments I see it’s gonna be dealers taking over ! It has been nice for a little while , I can’t pay to boost I don’t sell enough to do that at all

This once thriving platform will now experience a downfall of users due to the implementation of fees in car selling and regular miscellaneous items that now only allow 4 boast per item this is a great way to lose long time users and potential new sellers and buyers since the word will spread that this site is no longer user friendly I will use every platform at my disposal to make our voices heard that 5 mile is no longer the AMAZING platform it once was its flooded with pop up ads they charge fees to post items that should by all means be free to post they no longer allow boast which is the very thing that separated them from all others since it allowed you to refresh your listing but now a once thriving platform has turned into a sad reflection of a app since my time is valuable to me and i have used it to give insight into this ongoing issue it shows that i care i hope the IT department can see this mistake and resolve the issue

Dear 5Miles management,
As a long time customer and a business owner myself, I understand your steps to monetize your platform. After all, why not when you build traffic and need to maintain server cost to accommodate your growing audience?
However, your pricing strategy is not beneficial to us sellers.Compared to Letgo that offers a $30 monthly subscription fee, you are way out of your league.
I did see that you offer subscription packages for auto and parts dealers (may be pricey at times).
Although I had a small success using your app, I also had to mark items as sold although they were not sold through your app.I have also boosted many items and never had a return.
To add insult to injury, you have a dash that takes away from local offers as well as ads you get paid for.You guys need to slow down on your fees and consider something realistic for most sellers or you will soon face losing a lot of customers although free boost is still valid up to 4 times.
Consider using OfferUp pricing strategy ( low monthly fee for professional sellers to boost one item in their catalogue per day).
Since I have come to rely on 5Miles for promoting my business, and having to put up with low ballers, you will be losing my business as well - Guaranteed!
Just like in any relationship, i am grateful for your platform and wanted to give you my 99 cents opinion before taking the next step to completely forget that you ever existed.
I hope you find my feedback useful.Sincerely,
Nik@1stopconnect.com
