Personally 5 mile is worth every penny because the site is somuch more professionally ran and that brings a better clientele so kudos to 5 miles

Does the Boost cost anything or is it just the Promote that you get charged for?

"Boost" is free (every 4 hours).  "Must Go" and "Triple Exposure" cost money.

What, I was not charged anything and I saw no information indicating that I pay $7.99 to post?  In fact, here is there "ABOUT US" It's in their first paragraph. I copied the following from their website:)

Launched in 2014, we at 5miles are working to create the best experience for local buying and selling online.

We developed the 5miles app because we were fed up with online marketplaces that are hard to browse, charge expensive listing fees, and are full of spammers and fakes. We wanted to create a simple, secure environment where buyers and sellers can easily trade goods from the palm of their hand. Using the power of your mobile phone, 5miles has made selling as simple as taking a selfie and buying as easy as commenting on one. And free for everyone to use.

Letgo, OfferUp and Facebook Marketplace have way lower fees than 5Miles. 5Miles forces auto dealers or auto parts sellers to pay money for posting this is ridiculous. I see why OfferUp is backed by T Rowe Price you guys need to do better
