2. Buyer offers. Interested buyers will send you questions and/or offers for your item.
From there, you can use the in-app private messaging system to reply to a buyer's questions, negotiate the price, etc.
3. Pay online.
Our 'Pay Now' feature was released in version 4.0. The new 'Pay Now' button appears when chatting with a seller on specific items. It helps make your transaction more secure and easier but is not required in order to buy an item. 5miles still supports paying for items during the meetup process.
To use the 'Pay Now' feature, you simply have to add your credit or debit card information into your 5miles 'Wallet' found on your 'Profile' page within the app. Once you've successfully entered your credit or debit card information, you will have the option of paying for items with your 5miles Wallet.
Most importantly, remember to ask the seller if he/she accepts online payment otherwise he/she may cancel your order.
Keep your app up to date for this new feature!
4. Exchange the item.
We suggest you meet in a public place to make the exchange. Don't forget to ask buyer to tap 'Confirmed Received’ so we can release the funds to you. To find a safe location near you, visit one of our Safe Exchange Area Locations. To learn more about S.E.A.L., visit our S.E.A.L. article.
